Classic black vinyl, Brownswood remix edition sleeve Brownswood Recordings Announces Remix Editions 005: A Dig into the Archive Brownswood Remix Editions 005 is a celebration of the label’s longstanding tradition ofexceptional remixes, revisiting its archives with a spirit of exploration and reverence. Highlighting two cherished reworkings by Moodymann and Yoruba Soul (Onsulade), this fifth installment in the Remix Editions series showcases reinterpretations of tracks by José James and Ben Westbeech—timeless examples of Brownswood’s commitment to genre-defying, forward-thinking music. Moodymann’s remix of Desire takes José James’ soulful original into a deeper, house-inflected direction. With hypnotic grooves and a signature Detroit warmth, this rework captures the essence of the original while giving it a fresh, club-ready appeal. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul Remix of So Good Today transforms Ben Westbeech’s jazzy anthem into a meditative and uplifting house track. Drawing on Osunlade’s rich, rhythmic touch, the remix is both spiritual and danceable, embodying the fusion of genres that Brownswood has always championed. A. José James – Desire (Moodymann Remix) B. Ben Westbeech – So Good Today (Yoruba Soul Remix)
