Released exclusively for Record Store Day 2026, A Fleet of Bats: Early Demos offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the formative years of Bat For Lashes. This collection gathers ten early demo recordings written and recorded by Natasha Khan prior to the release of her celebrated debut album Fur and Gold. Stripped back, atmospheric and deeply evocative, these recordings reveal the origins of Bat For Lashes’ singular world-building and songwriting — where myth, melancholy and melody first took flight. Three of the tracks are previously unreleased, and all ten appear on vinyl for the first time. Pressed on audiophile heavyweight black vinyl, A Fleet of Bats: Early Demos is an essential addition for long-time fans and collectors, capturing the raw, spellbinding beginnings of one of the UK’s most distinctive artists.
