The long-awaited 5th album by TheJansen, an indie-punk duo based in Bogor, Indonesia, is now available! With over 220,000 followers on Instagram and over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, The Jansen is Indonesia's national indie-punk act. The Jansen's music is a mix of post-punk, indie-pop, garage, lo-fi, and other genres from the UK to the US, and their catchy vocals sung in Indonesian make them an instant hit. Their pop sensibility is further refined on this album, with songs such as "bagaimana kabarmu, sayang?" that show a strong influence of artists from the Beach Fossils area, which should be checked out by those who like US indie pop. In addition, this album retains the punkish elements of their roots, but also includes many songs that make the audience dance with four beats, such as "jika hidup bagai rumah makan sederhana," a song that adds four beats to the Jansen style, to "bila cinta adad," which is a song with a four beat beat. The album also includes songs with 80s elements, such as "bila cinta adalah sebuah kenakalan remaja", and a variety of songs that are sure to be a hit at live performances.
