Met "My Favorite Things: The Rodgers & Hammerstein 80th Anniversary Concert" wordt de historische samenwerking tussen Richard Rodgers en Oscar Hammerstein II gevierd. Originele arrangementen van de meest iconische nummers uit de musicals The King and I, Cinderella en The Sound Of Music en nog vele andere composities van dit duo zijn op dit album te horen. Het 40-koppige orkest, de Rodgers & Hammerstein Concert Orchestra, onder begeleiding van Simon Lee, en een keur aan internationale musical - en filmsterren, brengen nummers als 'My Favorite Things', 'In My Own Little Corner', 'Shall We Dance?' op schitterende wijze weer tot leven.
