Nathan Barr's score for "The House With A Clock In Its Walls" is a dark yet whimsical soundtrack that complements the film's dark fantasy elements. It features a blend of orchestral and unique instrumental elements, including a 34-piece string ensemble and an 11-piece brass ensemble. Notably, the score also incorporates a restored Wurlitzer pipe organ, which adds a distinctive touch to the music. The genre of this soundtrack falls under Stage & Screen, typical of Barr's work in film scores. The album is available in a Deluxe Edition format, presented on 2 LPs of 180-gram colored vinyl. The colored vinyl is a notable feature, with shades of green, purple, and orange swirls, adding a visual element to the music. Waxwork Records is responsible for the release, which includes extensive artwork and packaging. The film itself was released in 2018, directed by Eli Roth and featuring a cast including Jack Black and Cate Blanchett. This soundtrack showcases Barr's talent for crafting immersive and atmospheric music for film, making it a wonderful addition to any collection of film scores.
