Solution was one of the crown jewels in the history of Dutch popular music of the 70s and 80s. After their first period as Soulution during the 60s, debuting as a free form progressive combo with jazz influences, their music evolved into typical seventies fresh and perfectly produced music - both vocal and instrumental. Solution’s six studio albums bear the distinctive and typical sound of the era they were made in and meticulously cover the evolution of popular music over fifteen years. The band recorded two albums for EMI Records in 1971 and 1972 - Solution and Divergence, followed by their signing to Elton John’s Rocket label and working with legendary producer Gus Dudgeon on two albums - Cordon Bleu and Fully Interlocking. In 1980 and 1982, Solution recorded two albums for CBS Records: It’s Only Just Begun and Runaway. For the latter, the band worked with former Traffic drummer and additional singer Jim Capaldi. This record turned out to be their swan song, followed by a career spanning live album released in 1983, the year that the band split up. In 2006, the band reunited for two gigs at Club Panama in Amsterdam, which has been released on DVD. Last Detail is the definitive Solution anthology, presenting their complete recorded works between 1969 and 2006 on 18 CDs and 1 DVD, all sourced from the original master tapes. Along with all of the group’s albums and singles, the collection includes a trove of previously unreleased outtakes and rare live recordings. Last Detail also includes a lavishly illustrated 276-page hardcover coffee table book with detailed liner notes by biographer & archivist Wouter Bessels, along with hundreds of full-colour and black/white photos and reproductions of picture sleeves, posters, ads, magazine and newspaper articles and other rare Solution memorabilia, including material culled from the personal archives of the band members. Meticulously researched and annotated, and spectacularly packaged, Last Detail is the ultimate Solution collection. 18 CD/1 DVD BOX SOLUTION - LAST DETAIL - ANTHOLOGY 1969-2006 CD01 SOLUTION - Solution + 1 bonus track (2025 master) CD02 SOLUTION - Divergence + 1 bonus track (2025 master) CD03 SOLUTION - Cordon Bleu + 3 bonus tracks (2025 master) CD04 SOLUTION - Fully Interlocking + 4 bonus tracks (2025 master) CD05 SOLUTION - It’s Only Just Begun + 5 bonus tracks (2025 master) CD06 SOLUTION - Runaway + 2 bonus tracks (2025 master) CD07 SOLUTION - Live + 2 CD bonus tracks (2025 master) CD08 SOLUTION - Live At Panama 1 - Reunion 2006 (2025 master) CD09 SOLUTION - Live At Panama 2 - Reunion 2006 (2025 master) CD10 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: 1969-1971 CD11 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: 1974-1977 CD12 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: 1977 & 1980 CD13 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: 1978-1979 CD14 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: It’s Only Just Begun Sessions 1 CD15 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: It’s Only Just Begun Sessions 2 CD16 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: Runaway Sessions CD17 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: Live Paradiso 1983 CD18 SOLUTION - Tape Archive: Live Anna’s Hoeve 1983 DVD19 SOLUTION - Live At Panama - Reunion 2006 (2025 master) 2025 HQ masters 211 CD/DVD tracks 129 bonus tracks 109 * previously unreleased tracks/versions 21 ** tracks for the first time released on CD TRACKLISTING: CD01 SOLUTION - Solution (2025 master) 01.
