As Filthy As We Wanna Be is a loud, unapologetic punk rock and hardcore album by The Mary Tyler Whores, released in 2026. Produced with an in-your-face, sewer-born energy, it delivers a raw, aggressive sound steeped in classic punk attitude, mixing breakneck tempos with sneering, street-level storytelling and a sleazy sense of humor. The record presents the band as a chaotic, confrontational force, leaning hard into themes of vice, urban decay and outsider identity.Across its fifteen tracks, the album hammers away with songs like American Sex Fiend, Savage World and White Trash Girl, each built around abrasive riffs and shout-along choruses that embrace danger and excess rather than shy away from them. Cuts such as Hell on Wheels and Edge of Sanity push the hardcore influence further, while moments like Saints and Sinners and World Against Me add a slightly more anthemic, end-of-the-world swagger without losing the filthy edge promised by the title.
